Made for Apple Watch

Every shot counts.

Hogline is the curling companion that lives on your wrist. Log every stone in three taps, score every end in two, and walk off the ice with the whole story of your game.

Log shots

Your skip calls it.
Hogline remembers it.

Between shots there's no time for typing. Logging a stone is three taps (shot, turn, result) and you're back in the hack before the ice is swept.

Hogline shot type screen with Draw and Hit buttons
1

Draw or hit

Two buttons, sized for gloves. Pick the shot your skip called.

Hogline turn screen with In-turn and Out-turn buttons
2

In or out-turn

Track the rotation on every throw, so you know which turn is off.

Hogline accuracy screen with Perfect, Good, Okay, and Miss options
3

Rate the result

Perfect, good, okay, or miss. Tap it, or fine-tune with the Digital Crown.

A gentle haptic tap confirms every log, so you never have to look down twice.

Score ends

Scoring that keeps up with the game.

When the end is decided, Hogline asks exactly two questions: who scored, and how many. Answer them and get back to the handshake line.

  • Two taps between ends: who scored, how many
  • Blank ends logged with a single button
  • Game clock and end clock, always running
  • Running score in yellow and red, just like the board

Match summary

Walk off with the numbers.

Finish the match and Hogline hands you the story of your game. Shot success scored in points, split by shot type and turn, with your best end and an end-by-end breakdown. Spot the weak turn before your opponents do.

Curlers remember the big shots.
Hogline remembers all of them.

Smart Stack

The score, without opening the app.

Start a match and the hogline card puts itself in the Smart Stack. A flick of the Digital Crown from your watch face and there it is: the end, the game clock, the score, and how you're throwing.

One card, the whole state of the game.

Between shots you want a glance, not an app launch. The widget answers the three questions you actually have, and if you want more, one tap drops you back on the stone you were about to throw.

  • Shows up on its own while a match is live, no pinning required
  • End, running clock, score and your shooting percentage
  • Tap to jump straight back into the match in progress
  • Between games it holds your last result, then offers a new match
  • Nothing polls, so it costs you no battery between stones

Circular widget — the score and the end, ringed by how you're shooting

Inline widget — the whole game on a single line

hogline comes in every widget shape watchOS offers, so it fits your watch face as happily as the Smart Stack. Not seeing it? Here's how to add or pin it.

Feels like home

As native as the Workout app.

Hogline is built with SwiftUI for watchOS, the same design language, haptics, and Digital Crown behavior as the apps Apple ships. It's also built for arenas: gloves, cold, bad signal, and two-hour games.

Digital Crown everywhere

Rate a shot, adjust a score, scroll a summary. Everything responds to the crown, so cold fingers are never a problem.

Haptic confirmation

Every logged stone answers with a tap on the wrist. The same feedback grammar watchOS uses everywhere else.

Works fully offline

Club basements have terrible signal. Hogline doesn't care. Every feature works with zero connectivity.

Easy on the battery

A full eight-end game barely dents your charge. Hogline stays quiet between shots.

Glove-friendly targets

Every button is sized to hit with a mitt on. No fiddly menus, no precision typing, ever.

One decision per screen

Draw or hit. In-turn or out. How it landed. The watch asks one question at a time, so there's nothing to hunt for mid-end.

iCloud sync

Your season, on every device.

Hogline stores your matches in your own iCloud, so your history syncs across your devices automatically and survives a lost, upgraded, or reset watch. No account to create, your Apple ID already did that.

Automatic, in the background

Finish a match and it's saved. There's no sync button, no export dance, nothing to remember.

New watch, same history

Upgrade your watch and your whole season is waiting after you sign in with your Apple ID.

Private by architecture

Your games live in your personal iCloud container. Hogline has no servers. We couldn't read your data if we wanted to.

Offline first, always

No signal at the club? Everything is saved on the watch and syncs the moment you're back online.

Trust

Made by a curler,
not a data company.

Hogline exists because league night deserved better than a pencil and a wet scrap of paper. It respects your game and your privacy the way the best Mac and iPhone apps always have.

No account required

Download, open, curl. You're logging stones ten seconds after install.

Your data stays yours

Everything lives on your watch and in your private iCloud. There are no Hogline servers, and nothing is ever sold or shared.

No ads, no tracking

Zero analytics SDKs, zero ad networks. The App Store privacy label says it all.

No health or location data

hogline never asks for Health, fitness, or location access. It doesn't need any of it to track your game.

Questions

Before you hit the ice.

The things curlers ask before they buy, and the few they ask after. Anything else, email us and a curler will answer.

Is there a curling app for Apple Watch?

Hogline is one. It runs entirely on the watch, so you can log every stone, keep score, and read your shot stats without taking anything out of your pocket.

Do I need my iPhone with me on the ice?

No. Hogline is a standalone watchOS app and every feature works with zero signal, so the phone can stay in the locker room.

What curling stats does Hogline track?

Shot success scored in points, split by draw versus hit and in-turn versus out-turn, plus your best end and an end-by-end breakdown of the game.

Does Hogline have a Smart Stack widget?

Yes. While a match is live, the Hogline card shows the end, the running game clock, the score and your shooting percentage, and one tap drops you back on the shot you were about to throw. Between matches it shows your last result. The same widget fits all four watch face complication slots: rectangular, circular, corner and inline.

The Hogline widget isn't in my Smart Stack. How do I add it?

Press the Digital Crown to reach your watch face, then turn the crown up to open the Smart Stack. Scroll to the bottom and tap Edit Stack, tap the + button, then find Hogline and tap Match to add it. If Hogline is not in that list, open the app on your watch once after updating so watchOS registers the widget. On watchOS 11 or later the card also surfaces on its own while a match is running.

How do I pin the Hogline widget to the top of the Smart Stack?

Open the Smart Stack, turn the Digital Crown until you see the Hogline card, then touch and hold it and tap the yellow pin. Pinned widgets stay at the top of the stack no matter what watchOS thinks is relevant. Touch and hold and tap the pin again to unpin it.

How much does Hogline cost?

$4.99 once. No subscription, no pro tier, no ads, and every future update is included.

Which Apple Watch models does Hogline run on?

Any Apple Watch running watchOS 10 or later.

Where can I download Hogline?

The App Store listing is live in the United States and Canada, and Europe is on the way. Email support@hogline.app if you want it in your country.

Do my games survive a new watch?

Turn on iCloud Sync in Settings and your matches live in your own iCloud. Sign in on the new watch and the whole season is waiting.

Does Hogline collect my data?

No. There are no Hogline servers, no accounts, no ads, and no tracking, and it never asks for Health or location access.

Still stuck? The support page has more, or write to support@hogline.app.
